THE LATEST NEWS FROM NLEOMF
===========================
Dear Friend of Law Enforcement,
Twelve years ago today we dedicated the National Law Enforcement Officers
Memorial. On that day, we started to pay an eternal tribute to the men and
women of law enforcement who have made the ultimate sacrifice. It is a
tribute to those people who selflessly protect us every single day.
The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial was dedicated on October 15,
1991 by President George Bush. At the dedication ceremony, President George
Bush said in his address:
"Carved on these walls is the story of America, of a continuing quest to
preserve both democracy and decency, and to protect a national treasure that
we call the American dream."
The Memorial honors all of America's federal, state and local law enforcers
who have lost their lives in service to their country, their communities and
their fellow citizens. In addition to honoring fallen officers, the
Memorial pays tribute to the 870,000 federal, state, and local officers who
protect and serve our nation every day.
Today, we ask that you help us continue to honor America's heroes by making
a special 12th Anniversary donation of $12.00 to the National Law
Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund. To make your donation now, please visit

By giving your special $12.00 donation to the 12th Anniversary of the
National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial, you will also help to support
the many important programs of the National Law Enforcement Officers
Memorial Fund. These include National Police Week activities, the annual
Candlelight Vigil, the adding of Officer's names to the Memorial Wall, our
annual Wreathlaying ceremony and the general maintenance that needs to be
done to keep the Memorial a dignified place of honor.
